Immaginati scendere tra gli scogli, infilare la maschera e ritrovarti dentro un acquario naturale: acqua cristallina, fondali protetti, il silenzio della riserva tutto intorno. Non è una spiaggia di sabbia — è molto di più: un mare limpido che a pochi metri è già profondo e vivo. Bastano due minuti a piedi, e sei in acqua.

Picture yourself climbing down the rocks, putting on a mask and finding yourself inside a natural aquarium: crystal water, protected seabeds, the silence of the reserve all around. Not a sandy beach — far better: clear sea that's already deep and alive just a few metres out. A two-minute walk, and you're in the water.

Sei nel cuore dell'Area Marina Protetta del Plemmirio (Capo Murro di Porco), oltre 14 km di costa tutelata a sud di Siracusa, istituita nel 2004. Praterie di posidonia, grotte e insenature, e una fauna ricchissima: cernie, polpi, saraghi e, al largo, a volte perfino i delfini. Uno dei tratti di mare più limpidi e curati della Sicilia orientale.

You're in the heart of the Plemmirio Marine Protected Area (Capo Murro di Porco), over 14 km of protected coastline south of Syracuse, established in 2004. Posidonia meadows, caves and coves, and abundant marine life: groupers, octopus, sea bream and, further out, sometimes even dolphins. One of the clearest, best-kept stretches of sea in eastern Sicily.
